Terms and conditions

Placing an order:

To place an order, please follow the online order form instructions.

  • You can also place an order by e-mail or over the phone, by providing us with all required information.
  • An order will be accepted as a contract only after the company has sent an invoice stating acceptance.
  • All goods listed on our website are subject to availability. If any items on the customer's order are out of stock
    Or available outside the company's normal delivery times, the company will advise the customer immediately
    Of the expected delay in delivery. If this proves unacceptable the customer may cancel the item from the
    Order, or cancel the order in full, and the company will issue a full refund.
  • We do not accept orders from outside UK.

Rental terms and conditions

  • Equipment must be picked up and returned by renter.
  • Where a deposit is required for the equipment, it must be paid by the renter before the hire period. Deposit
    Balances are refunded upon return to interior harmony of equipment in good condition.
  • Equipment not returned on time will accrue an additional day rental charge plus a £25 per day late return fee.
  • The renter shall keep and maintain the rented equipment during the terms of the rental at his own cost and
    Expense. He shall keep the equipment in a good state of repair, normal wear and tear excepted.
  • The renter shall pay the owner full compensation for replacement and/or repair of any equipment which is
    Not returned because it is lost or stolen, or any equipment which is damaged and in need of repair to put it into
    The same condition it was in at the time of rental, normal wear and tear excepted.
  • This form serves also as an invoice. Payments should be made according to information on this form.
    Oak flooring supplies is not liable for any injuries or damages that occur while equipment is in possession of
    The renter.
  • Payment and/or authorised processing payment form must be received before request can be approved.
    We will charge customers for any not repaired damages to the returned equipment I.E. Cut cable will be charged
    £25 plus vat, other damages will be estimated by our team of engineers.
  • All our equipment is carefully checked by pat trained engineer.
  • Due to hire an equipment you will be required do show us 2 forms of id: photo id and proof of address. You
    Will be asked to sign contract agreement and accept full responsibility for equipment when is hired. To secure
    Your booking we will collect refundable deposit of £500. Cancellation your booking will result in loss 50% of
    The deposit.
  • If any machine damage is not reported by the client at the time of hiring the machine the damage will not be
    Acknowledged by the oak flooring design company. Therefore, the client becomes fully responsible for the
    Above damage. This means charging for the purpose of repairing the damage.
  • If the damage is related to machine and material wear the client may replace the machine without any additional
    Costs.
  • If the damage is caused by the misuse of the machine and the materials the client is responsible for the damage.
  • If the machinery stops working the client may replace the machine. Our specialists will find out the causes of
    The damage and will inform the client which party is responsible for the damage.

Our products

  • Hand finished floors:
  • All our floors that are hand finished may have colour variation between the boards, as finish is applied to each
    Plank separately.

Payment

  • You shall pay for the product in full at the time of ordering.
  • If a payment is not received or payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits the ownership of any items
    Purchased. No items will be shipped until we will not receive full payment at the time of ordering.

Shipping policies

  • For all orders made outside bristol and bath we are using shipping companies/couriers that have their own
    Policies to carry the goods. Drivers are not responsible to carry the goods that are delivered on a pallet, they
    Are left by the front door, on driveway, or by the garage.
  • Shipping will be paid for by the buyer in the amount agreed upon by the seller at the time of purchase.
  • The customer must inspect all goods for any damage or shortage on delivery in the presence of the delivery
    Driver. Any loss or damage must be clearly written on the delivery note and the company must be informed
    Within 24 hours by telephone. No claims for damage or shortage will be entered into if this condition is not
    Met.
  • If we are unable to meet estimated delivery date: we will let you know as soon as possible but, to the extent
    Allowed by law, we shall not be liable to you for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses
    Cause by late delivery.
  • Customer is obligated to cover second delivery cost if for any reason he is not able to accept original delivery,
    And the delivery date has been agreed before.
  • Customers are obligated to contact us within 7 days from placing the order to inform us of any missing
    Deliveries as otherwise we may not be able to allocate your parcel and issue refund or redeliver the parcel.
  • From the time of delivery, the goods are in your responsibility.
  • We only supply the goods in uk mainland.
  • Fitting & underfloor heating
    If you have got underfloor heating system on in your home and we will prepare, fit or renovate existing floor,
    The underfloor heating needs to be switched off minimum 48h before our arrival. When the works onto the
    Floor are going to be finished the underfloor heating should be switch on gently from 18 °c then slowly
    Increase the temperature (l-2°c per day) until the optimum value is reached. The temperature on the floor
    Surface cannot exceed 26°c. Do not go straight onto 22 °.

Floor sanding & fitting
Sealing & maintenance

  • Three coats of seal and two coats of oil are standard. Additional coats are
    Available, please ask.
  • Seal longevity is dependent on traffic conditions and maintenance imposed by
    Client.
  • We recommend maintaining floor with professional maintenance products only.
  • Professional maintenance products and yearly maintenance programmes are
    Available through the office, please ask.
  • Seals are generally touch dry in 2.5hours, oils in 12hrs. It is the client's
    Responsibility to make arrangements as necessary so as to avoid contact with seals during curing
    Time.
  • Whilst oak flooring design will aim for full perfection, hand applied seals may not
    Show complete uniformity. Recoating at client's request is chargeable.
  • Seals require 3-7 days curing time and should be protected whilst curing.
  • Floors should not be covered, nor furniture replaced, until curing process is
    Complete. Oak flooring design cannot be held liable for marking to floors after job is complete.
  • It is not the responsibility for oak flooring design to protect floors after job
    Completion.
    10. Oak flooring design reserves the right to change job specification as necessary in
    Order to provide the most appropriate finish for floor.
  • If, in the past, there were any chemicals soaked in the floorboards and not visible
    Before and/or after sanding the floor oak flooring design cannot take any responsibility for any
    Chemical reactions with a new finish (oil, lacquer or stain).

Sanding process

  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure rooms are completely empty of furniture
    And other tradesmen at the start of work. Furniture removal service is available, please ask.

  • If rooms are not left empty, oak flooring design cannot be held liable for any
    Damage that occurs during removal of furniture.

  • We recommend that floors are completed as the final part of a project.

  • Our sanding process is 98% dust-free. Small amounts of dust will be produced.
    Where we must use hand sanding or make repairs this may change.

  • Although due care and diligence will be exercised by oak flooring design, due to
    Nature of machine work decoration and skirting may be liable to marking. Oak flooring design cannot
    Be held liable for unavoidable marking nor the cost of redecoration.

  • Our company cannot take responsibility for the floors that has not got sufficient top
    Layer of oak for renovation and that only become visible during the process of sanding the floor.

  • Stairs sanding includes sanding/sealing of flats only. Risers/sides by agreement
    Only.

Gap filling

  • Due to the natural movement of the wood filling cannot be guaranteed and can fail
    At any time.
  • Repairs will be made as necessary to make good floor surface unless otherwise
    Instructed by client. Sub-structure repairs will only be made after instruction by client.
  • A statement of the structure of repair cost will be made on estimate. Actual cost of
    Repair is only available when repairs have been completed. All repairs are recorded on job sheet.
  • Supply of reclaimed timber is in accordance with market availability.
  • Reclaimed timber cannot be guaranteed the same colour as existing timber and
    Cannot be guaranteed worm-free.

Repairs
Colouring

  • All colour samples are representative and may vary due to individual conditions.

  • Once colour has been agreed, verbally or otherwise, any changes will be
    Chargeable at full job rate.

  • It is the client's responsibility to check colour at moment of application if a true
    Representation is required. Re-colouring will be chargeable at full job rate.

  • Due to nature of application technique, skirting may be marked during
    Colouring. Oak flooring design cannot be held liable for marking or redecoration.

  • Complete uniformity is not possible when hand colouring and finishing a floor.
    Electrical supply
    1. Sanding machinery requires 240v in ready supply. It is the client's responsibility to
    Ensure their power supply is in appropriate condition to undertake work.
    Rubbish removal
    1. Standard rubbish removal is included in job price unless otherwise stated.
    Refund/return policy

  • The customer has the right to return goods within seven days of the goods being received. Goods returned
    Must be in a saleable 'as new' condition and returned in their original packaging. Shrink-wrapped and factory
    Packaged goods must be returned unopened.

  • Customer returning goods are responsible for shipping the goods back to our factory, unless the returned
    Goods arrived damage and report has been sent to the company within 24 hours of delivery. Customers have 14 days for returning the goods except for floors, that has been hand finished to customer specifications.
    If the item matches the description by the seller and the buyer is unsatisfied, seller is not responsible for
    Refund.

  • Colour accuracy of the products viewed on our website cannot be guaranteed due to image reproduction
    Process and different light shades. We will make every effort to ensure that the information published on its
    Website are accurate, current and complete at the date of publication.
  • We will not accept cancellation or return for products made to your specifications that are hand finished to
    Custom colours, or any product that is cut to your required measurements we can only accept cancellation if the preparation process has not been started yet .

Free samples

  • You can order up to three free wooden floor samples by filling an online form or send us an e-mail with all
    Required information.
  • Our company supplies samples to customers without any guarantee as to the size, colour or quality of the
    Goods. Because wood flooring is a natural product and the sample is no bigger than a4 format, it cannot be
    Considered full representation of the finished floor.

Cancellation

  • If necessary, we can accept full cancellation, with full refund of your products if cancellation take place before
    Shipping has been made, if after you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You will need to return
    The goods back to us via your chosen courier. You have to make sure the goods are packed adequately to
    Protect against damage, if you fail to take care of the goods before returning, and this results in damage or
    Deterioration, we will charge accordingly.

  • We will not accept cancellation or return for products made to your specifications or any product that is cut to
    Your required measurements we can only accept cancellation if the preparation process has not been started
    Yet.

Price

  • All prices stated on our website will include vat, unless otherwise stated.
  • The price of the products and our delivery charges will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious
    Errors and are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders which we have already sent you
    A dispatch confirmation. Prices for flooring on our website are for 1sqm, pack sizes vary and depend on flooring type / design.
  • Please note every quote is only valid for 2 months from issue date.

Booking & payment

  • 1. All invoices need to pay on job completion.
  • Late payment fee will be added to unpaid invoices as follow: 0.5% up to 7 days, then 2% for every 30
    Days.
  • 40% deposit payment is due at time of a first day of our work.
  • Final payment is due on day of completion.
  • Scheduled dates may be subject to unexpected change.
  • Payment may be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
